Trauma-Informed Somatic Therapy and Coaching

If you would like to work with me, you can use this form or reach out via email to elizabeth.ferreira@mindfulcenter.org to set up a free, 15-minute phone consultation.

I am not currently accepting new individual adult clients. I still have openings for couples, families, and teens.

Hi, I’m Elizabeth.

I have a Masters in Somatic Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, and am currently an associate therapist working toward licensure.

If you’ve made it this far, you’re probably seriously contemplating therapy or other forms of deep work. It’s courageous to begin an inquiry into the Self, and I’d be honored to be a part of your journey.

I specialize in working with trauma, helping those who wish to untangle themselves from their past and find relief in the present. In the face of overwhelming experiences, it’s natural to armor ourselves against the world and seek refuge in our minds.

But you can’t think your way out of this.

You feel your way out.

My education in somatics helped me understood the impact of my own trauma and neurodivergence, and the dysfunctional patterns that had emerged as a result. As I walked my path and healed my relationship with my body, I learned firsthand the transformative power of somatic work. My approach focuses on creating a safe and compassionate container where vulnerable material can emerge without becoming overwhelming.

When it comes to trauma work, very little is simple or easy. Many have turned to me when they felt they had exhausted other options. When they needed someone who could sit with them in the darkness and nurture a small light.

In the end, our healing is found through relationship. Let’s walk where neither of us could go alone.

I focus on:

  • A classic old fashioned cocktail

    Somatic Practices

Psychoeducation, interoception, helping you feel your feelings in a safe way, and providing you with the tools you need.

  • Trauma Work

Reconnecting with the body, working from the bottom-up, and helping you feel safe.

  • Parts Work

    Parts Work

Making space so all the aspects of who you are have a place at the table. Calling home parts we’ve pushed away, and learning how to integrate them in healthy ways.

  • A glass of a scotch on the rocks

    Depth Psychology

Embracing the Self and getting to know the real you - the parts that trauma couldn’t touch. Leaning into the unknown, and taking our time.

I often work with:

  • Complex PTSD

  • Neurodivergence

  • PMDD

  • Developmental Trauma

  • Highly sensitive people (HSP)

  • Folks who are new to somatic work

Services Offered

I work in the San Francisco Bay Area as a somatic therapist, and am in my associateship under the supervision of a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Most of my work is with individuals. I occasionally work with couples.

I am currently offering tele-health sessions for clients across the state of California. If you would like to learn more about my therapy practice, please fill out the contact form above, or reach out to me directly at elizabeth.ferreira@mindfulcenter.org.

If you do not live in California, I offer somatic coaching. This work is not supervised, and does not constitute a therapeutic relationship. I do not work with people in active crisis under the scope of my coaching practice.

If you would like to learn more about my coaching practice, you can reach me at elizabeth.ferreira.somatics@gmail.com.

I currently do not take insurance, but for those with out of network coverage I can provide a superbill for those in my therapy practice to submit to insurance providers for reimbursement.

For sliding scale resources, I recommend the Center for Somatic Psychotherapy.
